The WriMo Blog: How I am keeping my ONC2024 and Journey of Legends writing process interesting...

Welcome to The WriMo Blog where I share my monthly writing goals, project progress, and more! Today's post is about keeping my ONC2024 and Journey of Legends writing process interesting. If this intrigues you, keep reading!
I have talked about this before, but this time I am going to share some of the tips and tricks I picked up to keep me motivated while writing my contest/challenge novellas.

I don't usually write in Google Docs unless I am trying to minimize distraction. I love Scrivener and I think it offers so much to my writing process, but during ONC2024 I felt it was good to go with G-Docs. And one of the things that usually happens is the interface can get quite repetitive and -dare I say it?- boring.

When writing momentum slows down, I do what I usually do: I go to AuthorTube for some writing tips. Usually when I do this, I go with specific video searches or I look for my favorite channels and see if they updated. However, YT must have heard me because I was recommended a new writing channel by Noelle Nichols.

Noelle has been on YT for a little over a decade, but her videos only go back 5-6 months. However, I got to watching her videos on editing and using Google Docs, and she shared an interesting tip. ► I will link the video at the end of this post.

Changing text/font color every day to something different to show how much you did that day. MINDBLOWN. It's not that I didn't know you can change text color, its that I never thought it would help writing/editing. It really is a game-changer and it makes writing fun.
