Sundays are Good Book Days.

Sundays are good book days.

What i will be reading. . . Or trying to read.

Good afternoon everyone! Well, it seems that I might be able to catch up in some reading. I have so many books that I should be reading before January. If I don't get them done, I can get them read/reviewed later. But I normally get my reviews up within a day of reading the books . . . which means, I am rather behind. I thought I would put all the books I have waiting for reviews. (Most of the books I will mention are from either Xpresso book tours, ya bound book tours, net galley, or via the author(s) - I will also give a brief explanation why i request the book, or what intrigued me. If I don't, I ran out of words and decided to just share the book.) I will add goodreads links to all the book Titles so that you can add them to your reading lists, if you wish. (This post went live on Haddie's Haven a short while ago.)

First on the list (Well, maybe not first) is:

I got a review copy through Xpresso Book Tours - I have yet to read the first page. And it has been sitting in my laptop for a little over two months now. Yikes, I know. I usually will get a book done within a day of receiving it. This is the case with the majority of the following books, but I will say which ones.

I also got this book through Xpresso Book Tours. I did read the first page, but had to put it down because life got busy. I know that I am going to love it once I get to it. And it is a very cool cover!

I think it was the cover that grabbed my attention, That usually is the case.

Via xpresso book tours - I was intrigued by this book because it is not traditionally published. And who doesn't like a book about a group of friends on adventure.

Via xpresso book tours - Similar to the ones mentioned above, the cover caught my eye..

Crystallum
(The Primordial Principles #1)

By Laney McMann

via Xpresso Book Tours -

Forget me not by allison whitmore
Via xpresso book tours - This is a more "darker" read, but I am in the first couple of pages. I keep losing my place whenever I have to get up.

Without a doubt by lindsey paige
via xpresso book tours - this is a NA-lit novel, and I want to get straight into it. the last time I requested a na novel, i loved it! I could not get enough. (The sad thing was that the file was from net-galley and it expired after 50 days. I believe)

No Promises by N. Raines
via xpresso book tours for a review tour that is coming in january, so keep an eye out for that.
I've already started this one, though the first few pages have me a little iffy about it. The first chapter contains an element that I do not support, but I am going to try and push passed that and keep going. The plot is what intrigued me at the start. Also, the guy on the cover is pretty good looking.

I got this via the author, shortly after reading the first book. I still cannot get over the first portion of the book. it had me in tears, covered in goosebumps, and on an emotional roller coaster. I actually hope to get to this one ASAP, since the third book in the caelian cycle is to have a cover reveal soon . . .

A horse named dog
by Lauren Oliver
via ya bound book tours
What girl does not love horses? Well, though the main character is a young boy, I still wanted to read and check this out. I have several books from the black stallion series, so imagine how intrigued i was to hear about this.

Distraction (Westbrook, book one)
by Laura Clark

via the author - when I RECEIVED the email about reviewing this book, I was so glad. I rarely get emails about review requests, I mainly request them myself. This book seems to be right up my ally, in terms of "contemporary".

Outsiders by tammy ferebee
via the author - This book is going to take me to a new level in my comfort zone. Granted, I have read my fair share of NA-Lit and a few adult fantasy novels, so it is not going to be too far off. The author had read my reading preferences and thought I might not like it, due to a certain element of passionate love. But that preference list needs to be updated, since I read a wide VARIETY of book genres now. definitely looking forward to this one.

Annabeth Neverending
by Leyla Kader Dahm
via the author - The author of this book contacted me through goodreads, and this book should be arriving to my house within the next week or so. This will be one of my first print ARCs. (I do have others, but those were from contests through publishers.)
I really think that this will be a quick read for me, because it will be in my hands, and not on my laptop.

via the author (twice) - I got an e-arc of this book from the author, twice, because it was in a swag-pack she was giving out to readers, and because I requested it from her website. This has been sitting in my laptop for too long. Every time i look at the book button, i say to myself: "You have to read that!" Even my mom said it sounds pretty cool. Who doesn't like a good time travel book?

The CHICAGO war series by Bethany-kris
Book One - Book Two - Book Three
via the author's publicist - I saw this book through a cover reveal, or a book blitz, on another book blog, and loved the covers. I went to look at the author's website and she was giving out arcs of the THIRD book, along with the first two books for the people who are not familiar with the series. Are the covers not the coolest!

THE ANDY SMITHSON SERIES

BY L. R. W. LEE

Via the author - I own the first book and the prequel already. When the author mentioned wanting more reviews for the series, i went for it. she gave me books 2-5 for review, and I will be reading the sixth book towards the end of next year. I am in chapter 2-3 of the first book, blast of the dragon's fury. This is technically a middle grade fantasy series, but i think the prequel is ya.

Via the author - This was in my email last night! I have raved about the first two books left and right! I am so happy to be reading this; I have been anticipating the release forever. It is to be released in january, so I will try to save it for when it becomes available. Fair warning: adult content; intended for mature audiences.

giveaway prize - I won this through a Western FB-readers group. it is a Western novel, obviously. I have only read one Western in my life, but that was when I was 17, and a week later, my sister gave let someone have it. I am supposed to have received a picture card of the cover, but IDK what happened there. I am on page 3 of this book, for three months now. I do not know if I will be reading this one along with the ones on this list, but I do want to read it soon.

Well, that is 25 books, but the list still goes on. I have a few books that I have not mentioned yet. mainly they are giveaway winnings, with the request of a review once i have read them. if I feel like it, I will add them.

Books. Who does not love books? There is a bookworm in all of us. it just takes the right book to activate that love for literature. (A similar saying can be found in "This book will change your life" by Amanda Weaver)

Reading With My Brother, D

My younger siblings are having a reading challenge at home, to start off the school year. My mom's youngest son, D, is reading next to me, so I am helping him pronounce words he does not know. I finished my zombie quartet yesterday, epic!

If you look to the sidebar >>> you will find my currently-reading list. I still have a few that can wait until later this month, some that I am already further into than others, but it's all good. I've only got three that need to be read this week. So, I am going to be reading those.

I did not get to finish my chapter last night, so I am working on that now. I'm not giving up. Camels don't give when they have a load they cannot carry, so why should I give up? :)

Book blitzes are going live on my book blog, so go check them out! Giveaways, courtesy of the author (and the coordinators) and I have another one going live in an hour. I think you might find an new, interesting read!

Well, that is all for now. I gotta get back to writing. See you on the flip-flop later!

Reading, Writing, and Initiation

Well, it is officially Friday, and J has been initiated to the crew. Here is how the initiation process goes in my house, when it comes to letting the guy friends this close. J has officially stayed at my house for a near seven days (if you don't count Monday). The last guy to stay at our house for that long (if not longer) was R. J has been recruited to cook tonight, which finalizes initiation. J is officially one of the kids. R has been one of us for a little over two years now.
Please forgive me that I keep talking about my friends. It gives me something new to talk about.

Anyways, I am about to open up my novel and see what I can do tonight. I did not get to do much this morning, because I cooked lunch. But, I have bit plans, and I hope everyone, who has been reading Scarred Hearts, is enjoying it. No one has been commenting. I even went to the extent of dedicating a few chapters to some people I know will comment. (Girl, if you're reading this, though I am joking, I had expected more than that! xD)

I've also gotta read that box set, which I might do instead. Because that is the only book(s) that I need done this week (even though I have a week's extension). Aside of another book I have, that is the only one that needs to be read ASAP. All the other books in my currently-reading list can be read at a later date, before the end of October.

Well, it is dinner time. I am going to go grab some chow. God bless you all, and I will see you all tomorrow!

A Movie Worth Watching

Good morning! So last night, my family was watching Do You Believe? \o/ WOW! That was amazing! Such an impact, and well done! It is so hard to find a good Christian film down here, and that one. . . It was worth watching.
I managed to add more words last night, I am not at 4.5k xD I'm very happy that I did not stop. I am that much closer to 5k.

I've got quite a few things coming up on my book blog. I'm in a few blog tours, I've got some new reviews coming up. I even have some books that I am reading NOW, to have a review before the end of this month, Sept. and Oct. Imagine that. But I've got a handle on them, and I have been reading each of them when I get time. Sundays are my best day to do all that stuff. Its the one day my sister does not use my laptop.

I really hope to finish these chapters before the deadline in September. I feel that I can do it, but there is that slight doubt because I am limited to time on my laptop during the week. I've made the word count my main focal point. If I am unable to finish, I can always try again next year, with the same story or a different one.

That is all for now. I've got more typing to do, and my family has a visitor coming in about half an hour. I'm not dressed for the day yet, but I had to get this up. My inner clock is still out of whack.

God bless you all. Have a pleasant day, and I will see you on the flip-flop!

Characters In My Head . . . But From What Books? #BooksFeels #Fangirling

So, I think it is alright to say that I have quite a few books that I am reviewing in the next month. I am not sure if I am allowed to share them, so I am just going to post some gifs of actors who I see playing some of the characters, in my head. I will not say who they play, nor will I say which book, I will just put the gifs.

Nicholas Hoult is bae!

Just a random first kiss in one of the books . . .

The queen is learning that her first love remains in her heart . . .

Well, those are all I will make you look at . . . Okay, just one more because the book I am reading is flooding me with feels!

Puppy Withdraw, No Lights, Blog Plans

So, today was a bit of an on/off day. Not only did my mom give away the last four puppies, but the lights were off for a few hours during the afternoon. I didn't think all that would happen today, but it did.

On a happier note, I am very excited to say that I have many e-ARCs that I will be reviewing, and the covers! \o/ Amazing! I definitely want to get my skills going up, because what if an author asks me to make their book cover!? That would so cool!

I do not know if I am allowed to share much about this, but one of the books I will be reviewing this Fall is called Sing For Me (Angels and Arias) by Gracie Madison - CLICK HERE - I was so happy I got selected to review this book. This is book one, I believe. It intrigued me, it is NA romance, I think.

I read a book yesterday/today, that I fell in love with. I am working on the review now, and will post it as soon as I finish here. It tickled my fancy. And now I am sure that this particular genre is FOR ME. Hint: Historical Fiction.

Well, that's all for now folks! Harry has awakened!

100 BLOG POSTS!

Well, I did it! I have made to 100 blog posts!

I could not think of anything to do for this post, so I resolved to change the theme of my blog, and "upgrade" the layout a little bit. Notice my lovely pages in the header? Is the shade of blue not the prettiest you have ever seen? Also, notice there is a page linked to the magazine blog? I think I mentioned that before . . . right? Whatever, check it out anyways.

Anyways, I added all of my links, and a few extras (and adding more as I go along). I literally spent an hour or so pulling all of it together, to fit who I am as a blogger. I felt it was necessary, instead adding all my links at the end of my blog posts, which I had stopped doing a while back.

Well, here it is. My 100th post. Not very extravagant, when you think about it. However, spicing up the theme did help me to celebrate. So that counts.

I hope you are all well, and see you all next time! Ciao!

YA CRAZY!

Okay, I officially l♥ve YA books! I mean, as long as the books stay revolving around where I am comfortable, I will read them! I have noticed quite a turn in my reading references, and I am slowly adjusting to it. Currently, I have been reading quite a few paranormal romances (yes, me; can you believe it?), and that is not a genre I expected to be interested in. I mean, I have been trying to expand my reading into other genres, but I am still quite picky. I try not to be picky, but it is just because of my upbringing, and I am okay with that.
Anyways, back to the YA-train. I've been really into YA reading lately, and I would like to officially thank YA Bound Book Tours for getting me hooked!
YA Bound Book Tours Mostly YA Book Obsessed
No, I was not put up to this. This is coming from the Click any one of the buttons above, and check out both blogs. YA Bound Book Tours, I have visiting their blog (first button) every other day to see if there are any new book tours in which I might be interested in participating. Yes, their blog is dedicated to YA novels, of almost every kind. I try to not join every single tour, because there is the possibility that I won't be able to make the deadline(s), so I stick to, maybe, two and three at a time. Provided they do not take place all in the same week.

Please look at my review blog, I post a new review every 2-3 days, and I sometimes post more than once a day, depending on how much content I have to share. Click the button below to visit my review blog.

Also, if you are interesting in seeing my review policy - CLICK HERE - Which I will also be adding to my review blog soon, I just need to work out the kinks. Thank you so much for reading, I shall return soon! God bless, and see you soon. :) ♥
