Good Mythical Morning! (Yes, I just finished watching GMM on YouTube)

So, I am here at the table, in my usual spot, mentally preparing myself for a day of writing. At least, I hope to get some writing done. Tomorrow is my "posting day" for PoY, but the new chapter is not finished yet. I had managed to write a good portion of it last Sunday, but not enough during the week. But as I often say, it is not a big deal. You gotta take each step as it come. Don't jump and try to skip over things. That can cause you to not see a coming step and you can trip.

Something smacked me in the head yesterday, mentally. I cannot get a book self-published without having some sort of income to pay for it. *SIGHS* I already know how will get an income, but more on that another time. I also have been planning the final cover(s) for a certain novel (or two) for when they are published. But I am not going to show those off. . . . Not on my blog anyway. I am testing a few finalized covers on PoY, but not on Wattpad. I am using it on my Write On (Amazon branch) account, and hoping it will get some love. Speaking of that, I have to post a new chapter of PoY over there.

Scarred Hearts is also going to have a final cover for publishing, but I have not worked that out yet. It is posted to Write On, and I have been getting the feedback I was hoping. I only have a few chapters up, but the feedback is helpful. Now I have to work all those details into the book, and fix it. Which means. . . . I will need an actual editor. Another thing I will need to pay for. To be totally honest, I was going to try and eek by and go as cheap as possible, because I thought I was not going to have the money for all the special stuff. But like I said above, more on how I will earn for my book in another post.

I was looking at the Entangled Pub submissions page the other day. As it turns out, I meet most of the requirements to submit a manuscript. My problem? There are some things about my novel(s) that . . . they might not fit along the other books that are published there. I mean, I write very clean fiction, that would be suitable for all ages. The thing with Entangled is that their imprints fit a certain box (age of characters/readers, content, etc.) and I don't know where the novel would fit. 

Entangled's CRUSH imprint is for Teen & YA readers (16-18). My novels would fit there, but I made my characters ages 21 and older, even though I can say the content is appropriate for everyone to read.

Embrace is the NA imprint, which means intense content for new adults (and readers who like reading that genre). I have had my share of NA plots and they are not all that bad. I always say that I rarely find a book that I do not like, but believe me, I still feel like the Beast when I read books like that.

Entangled Pub has many imprints. I would not mind publishing with them, but I need to focus on the things I am doing right now. Maybe, one day, I will submit something to them. I have read a good few books from them for reviews, and a lot of my writing has been inspired but CRUSH. I often say it, and I think it is because CRUSH is my favorite genre. YA novels are my peeve. No, I take that back. Books that are based on Biblical history are my peeve. (Stephanie Landsem, Davis Bunn, Janette Oke and R.J. Larson are my favorites [so far] in this genre, go check them out ASAP!)

Along with my notes for Amazon KDP and CreateSpace, I am also looking into Smashwords. I have had an account there for a while, because some of the books I am currently reviewing came directly from there, (special promo code from the authors). It is a lot of fun to look at other people's experiences with self-publishing. 

Mandi Lynn is someone that I have found particularly helpful. I think it is because we are close in age, and I can relate to her. She has a series of videos on YouTube (BookTube) that follow her journey to publishing her two novels. (I am planning to get her fist novel and see if I like it.) She talks about editors and formatting, even down to recording her conversation with the bank when she was trying to pay for everything, because she was a minor at the time. Anyways, most of my notes that I have are from her videos.

My mom was very surprised to see how many pages of notes I wrote on the first day that I got my new notebook. I filled three pages, and there are no lines of separation. The entire page is filled with notes. I have since filled more pages of notes, but that first day was surprising. I am not a very good note-taker, unless it is something I enjoy. (the Script - It's not right for you)

I think that I can safely say that I am very close to completing one of the goals on my list. I should write that list on actual paper, because I have it on my blog and in my laptop. But I should have it somewhere I can see it, when I am not on my laptop. Another thing to work on. I might just put it into one of the notebooks I have going. Or . . . I could get another journal like the one I got for my self-publishing notes. More organized, in my opinion.

Oh! I woke up with the most awesome novel idea, but I need to finished my current works first. The idea was so perfect! I wrote it down and I m going to make sure it does not collect dust. It will be memorable; the plot will be captivating, and inspired by my favorite authors. I will say no more. ☺

I'm Behind in My Work! \o/

Good morning everyone. I sincerely hope you are all well. I am quite behind in terms of reviewing books on my TBR. I hope it is not because I am losing interest. How could I lose interest? I mean, I do go through such phases at times and then come back later, but I don't want that to happen in this case. If it does, I will deal with it.

Anyways, I have decided what will be my next posting book. As a matter of fact, it is a brand new idea that I pulled together this weekend. I was inspired by the TV series, The Flash, which I have been watching with my siblings the passed week. Anyway, I do not have a full outline of it in my head yet, but the main male character will have an obsession with the The Flash. The two main characters are also going to have hearing and speaking impairment. I do not plan to stray away from my usual Christian elements. This book will have that in there, as always. 

Grant Gustin. Now, due to my inspiration from watching the TV series, I believe he would be perfect for the main male character. I have this really neat idea: Because his character is going to be OBSESSED with The Flash, it made sense that I would make it ironic that he likes that hero, to give him the name Barry Allan. Now, yes, that is ironic enough, but the story is not a fan-fiction. Barry will the one with hearing impairment, but he will not be born with it the way my leading lady is mute from birth. 

Barry is going to be a very cool character to write. Along with this fantastic character, there has always gotta be the main female character, who will be his equal. Shall I introduce you to her?

Monica Dawson. Now, you all know my respect for Lucy Hale. Looks-wise, she plays many of my main characters, and I always go back to her when I do not have anyone else in mind. 

Monica is going to be a great character for me to write as well. I am really stepping up my game with some of the traits she will have. She is going to be an EPIC guitar player, but she will have her every day troubles as well. I have decided to incorporate the element of bullies. Monica is going to have speech impairment, and she is going to be made fun of a lot because of it. 

Now, Barry and Monica are going to strike up a friendship and become each other's missing sense. As I have decided to write in the summary: Barry will become Monica's voice; Monica will become Barry's ears. They are going to meet in a therapy program that encourages the impaired in their hobbies and helps them build their language skills. Sign language. I intend for them to fall for each other later. I requested a cover on Wattpad, so I am waiting for the artist to accept my request and state the payment options. This book will also have some supernatural elements. Do not ask me what or why, but that is what I plan to do. :D

I know that I said I do not really have an outline yet, but as I am writing this post, I am getting all these ideas. So, you guys are learning about the story right now as I am thinking of it! Anyways, this is going to be fun for me to write. (To read my almost ready summary, just highlight the white section below this paragraph.)

Monica Dawson wants nothing more than to play the guitar. There is one problem: She was born mute. Without a voice, Monica is unable to speak up for herself when people make fun of her. The only way Monica can express herself is through her guitar playing. She joins a local music therapy program, meant to help her become more comfortable with the use of sign language while letting her learn to play the guitar more professionally. It is in this therapy program that Monica meets Barry, a young man obsessed with The Flash comics, and a guitar wizard. However, Barry is in the program recovering from a recent accident that caused him to lose his hearing. Monica and Barry strike up a friendship unlike any other. He becomes her voice; she becomes his ears.

Pictures of You is coming along, at a slower pace, but it's coming. I will be posting a new chapter tomorrow, so keep an eye open for that. I also a new cover for this story from the same artist as above. (The cover was a premade, but I love the style, so I was eager to get my hands on them.) Because I would like to use the current cover for my published book. Yes, I want to publish this book, because I want to see it in my hands. Whenever I want something in my hands, it is because it is AWESOME!

This book is one of my babies, I have to say. I mean, all my writings are my babies, but this one steals the cake.

A lot of people are doing NaNoWriMo and I love watching their progress. I will definitely participate next year. Well, that is all for today. I will be back later this week. God bless you!

Brown-eyed people often figure in songs and stories as adorable and desirable lovers and in a quiet way they are very aware of the secrets that make up their own attraction. Brown-eyed people are excellent hosts and love making people feel welcome and at home.

They are practical and strong minded, skilful in creating beautiful things as well as warm atmospheres. Brown eyed people are faithful and true, but never let them down if you have promised something. They can be very unforgiving if someone does not live up to their word, which is not surprising given their own dependability and loyalty. They believe that trust is possibly the greatest asset a person can have and once it's gone, it's gone. It's worth remembering that although they love the company of other people they are perfectly capable of organising their own lives and being independent.

Listening To "Old" Tunes With The Boys

So, my brother and J are sitting at the table, right next to my work station. My brother never fails to get his friends to sit down and draw. I remember, a few years ago, before my family moved out of that neighborhood, J would come over often. He lived right down the street. Now, in that neighborhood, there were two Js, same name. Both really cool dudes.

As an ex-tomboy, I used to run around with them, playing all the rough games, and being the best in our baseball games. I've changed a lot over the last . . . seven years. O.O Not only that, but I used to love being outdoors. Something must have changed my perspective, because now I only go to the outdoors to keep my dog quiet. I will be honest though, if out of necessity I need to get away, for whatever reason, I will sneak off and hide outside somewhere, with my notebook and pen, and write.

This all winds back down to the fact that guy friends are the best. No drama. Never a boring moment. And they laugh, you can't help laughing along with them. Which is probably why I like reading books with girl/guy best friends so much. I grew up with them. *shrugs*

I've got a new review posted on my book blog (you can click the page link). Not a very elaborate review, just my pure enthusiasm for the book itself. I've got several new posts going up in the next couple of days, so keep an eye for those. You will love them. :)

I love the change in their sound, this is such a great kick-off to the band without Zayn. I think they deserve this big time . . . Okay, I found use for my $15 iTunes GC! As soon as their album is available for re-order, I'm buying!

TRAILER IS DONE!

Good morning special people! So, I found some really good clips, mostly of what I was looking for, and I managed to pull together a nice trailer. It will have to do for now. I am satisfied for now, and I shall continue to seek a trailer maker on Wattpad. I actually prefer to have more than one, because each trailer maker will get their work show-cased, and I like the different styles.

Anyways, I am actually writing this post the night before, because I did not know if the trailer would be uploaded before midnight. YouTube goes somewhat slow, but I am hoping the updates added speedy uploading.

The trailer will be posted below. It might not work at first. Do not fret, that is probably because it did not finish processing/uploading yet.

100 BLOG POSTS!

Well, I did it! I have made to 100 blog posts!

I could not think of anything to do for this post, so I resolved to change the theme of my blog, and "upgrade" the layout a little bit. Notice my lovely pages in the header? Is the shade of blue not the prettiest you have ever seen? Also, notice there is a page linked to the magazine blog? I think I mentioned that before . . . right? Whatever, check it out anyways.

Anyways, I added all of my links, and a few extras (and adding more as I go along). I literally spent an hour or so pulling all of it together, to fit who I am as a blogger. I felt it was necessary, instead adding all my links at the end of my blog posts, which I had stopped doing a while back.

Well, here it is. My 100th post. Not very extravagant, when you think about it. However, spicing up the theme did help me to celebrate. So that counts.

This Day Just Took An Awesome Turn!

So, I did not think I was going to post anything else today, but this is just too cool to not to post about it.
I just found out that I am the winner of another giveaway! \o/ I literally was just checking my email, and the email notification showed up! So, I have two books that will be coming to me, within the next couple of weeks, or so. I fell out of my chair after reading it. I thought that giveaway had already ended, and the winner chosen. The next book follows a similar theme, but because it is also a faerie tale re-telling.

The Twelve Dancing Princesses

I actually already read a third of this book (thanks to Wattpad.com), and I have been following Jenni James forever. I read one of her first books (Beauty and the Beast) before it was even published. I was so upset when that book was taken down, because that was right when I was reaching the mid-point. I now own an E-copy of that book, and I have been wanting to get my hands on more of her books. I am getting there. I now have. . . . three (3). Four, if I start counting this one.

Well, that was another one of my brain-fart moments. I just had to get this out of my system to someone, anyone. Thank you for reading, and see you all VERY soon!

Girl Needs to WRITE!

Hey guys, its been a slow writing day for me. My laptop upgraded so everything is acting a little ka-pooky, and it has been freezing randomly when I have more than one flash-drive connected. So, I have not done anything to work on updates yet.

I will say that I have been busy reading a series for my review blog. If you are interested in knowing what those books will be, check my review blog tomorrow morning, because that is when I will be posting the first review. I have one more book to read in the series, and I am waiting to see if I can read the next one (if I can get a copy of it). The strange thing about it is that this is a book series I would have never picked up before this past week. My reading preferences has expanded slightly, and I have been keeping an open mind about it, just because the covers are what intrigued me most. The descriptions were interesting, but I did not realize exactly what it meant until I actually started to read the book(s). So, that just goes to show that I should have been a little more informed of what I was getting into. In the end, I got a set of free books. Good on all accounts. I still have my personal restrictions when it comes to reading, but now it all depends on whether I think I would like the book or now.

I don't know how many of you have been following me since the beginning, but as you guys know I have a second Wattpad account, where I post stories that are not Christian-based. That is where all of my non-Christian fan-fictions are. I do keep them to a safer degree of writing than most non-Christian stories, because I do fold in prayers and other Christian content, without adding too much. Because all the people that read those stories just . . . I won't talk about it. But that is one of my reasons for having two accounts. I do not know if I will continue with my previous plans for those other stories. I think that once I get them finished, I will jut leave them up, but not post new content.

I have big plans for the Rescued series, like I keep saying, and I mentioned on Wattpad last night a little bit about that. If you missed the message, here it is again -

OKAY! VOTE TIME! This is going to have massive impact on posting schedule I have laid out for Falling Slowly. You, my lovely readers, will have a say in this: I have more than half of the letters written, some are already typed into drafts. What I want to know is:
1) Should I wait for the rest of the letters to be in drafts before posting the first one?
2) Should I start posting and add the letters as they are typed (the way I have done with the other stories)?
3) Should I wait for all the letters to be in drafts, and post them all in one go?

"You Are A Winner!"

So, last night I was browsing around all of my Net bookmarks, when I came across a giveaway I had been entering every single day for a month.  I won! Well, I am one of the several winners. Here is a screen-shot of the BIG prize list (because there were more on the list, but these were the bigger prizes). I blacked out the names of the other winners.

Now, I did not notice this until a moment ago, but I spelled my name wrong in one of the entries that is what Haddasah H. looks a little strange, LOL.
For the past twelve hours (with the exception of sleeping for nine hours), I have been pulling together a cart FULL of books to spend the $25 A. Gift Card on, for when the gift card is sent to me, which will be this week. Which means I can film an Book Unboxing/Haul video? Hmm . .

Also, to top the AWESOME day off . . . well not really. My mom and I are going to bring the "unclaimed" puppies to the mall to find homes for them. (My dad already had a home for 4 puppies, and then 8 came, which we were not expecting.) I have not spoken about them in a while, but I guess I was grieving? I love dog and puppies, and I do NOT want to give any of them away. BUT I live in a very LARGE household, and we already have the three BIGGER dogs.

The First Time I . . .

Be truthful! You know you only started read this post because of the title ;D LOL. Well, I just thought I would share what I am currently reading. My sister (you know who you are!) has owned Sophie Kinsella's Remember Me? book for a LONG time, and I decided to try and read it. . . Again. You see, the first time I read it, was when I was . . . sixteen, and I NEVER read books that were adult-themed. At that time in my life, every time the subject arose, I would drop the book and never go back to it again. The content made me uncomfortable, and I just felt it was better to stay away from it. Now, nearly five years later, I am running out of books to read. I don't want to re-read my 'middle-grade' books, and I want something new. I took a look at my sister's metal book shelf, and it was staring right at me. 'Might as well,' I said to myself, and I picked up the book. I asked my sister to loan it to me, and I am just passed the midway point. I do not remember anything about the from the first time I read it, so this has been quite the experience. And spoiler, I am relating to the main character's mother and her dogs! \o/ Dead serious! It's a nutty thought, but I totally relate to her. Anyways, back to the book. I will be posting my thoughts on this book (maybe) tomorrow, because I have not put the book down until now. New Bookstagram!

I have thought it over, and I have created myself a bookstagram! - https://instagram.com/haddies.haven/ - I figured it would be necessary, as long as I only posted everything related to books, writing, and my review blog(s). I don't know how often I would be able to post, considering I borrow my parents' phones to make the posts. But I am sure that there is an iPod Touch in my near future. Then I will be able to read all my Kindle books and post on instagram! I am planning a new book review this weekend. I do not know when I will get around to it, but I have already started to read the book. I am also trying to get an ARC for this book that will release in September. I hope to hear from that publisher/author this week. But that is if I am one of the bloggers chosen to receive it. If I don't receive it, that's okay. I still have 450+ books on my Kindle app I could review.

Proud Big Sister

The joys of being a big sister. I cannot stress enough how proud I am of my brothers and sisters. I've shared this video before (I don't remember where) but never hurts to share it again. Also, Phil Wickham is one of my favorite Christian singers. 

14 Days = 2 Weeks

(I am writing this post on July 4th, but posting it July 5th)

It has officially been two weeks (Sunday) since the puppies were born. They are so cute, it is going to be so hard for me to let them go. I mean, yes, they will be with someone my family sees often, so they won't be with strangers. I just have a huge love for puppies, and dogs in general. Anyways, they will be going to their new home sometime in August, or even in September. This depends on when they are weaned. Most dog owners give away their puppies right when they start eating puppy food. But that actually interferes with their development and brain cells. (Yes, I did my research) I don't want to give away puppies that are under developed. Bella was actually slightly under developed. She had trouble learning and catching commands. She was two months old when we got her last year. People don't want a dog like that. They want a dog that is trainable. 

I am thinking that when I get a bit of $$, I should create a domain, and I should start getting into the book side of the net. I mean, everything I post is book related, with the exception of mentioning my dogs. SO yeah, I should make my YouTube channel book-related. BookTube, here I come!

I am still waiting to hear from PointlessBlog about his Vlogging Giveaway. I have commented a few times on that video, not that it would give me a greater chance of being chosen. It would give me the boost I need to go with my channel.

Bump #1: The camera is the first bump in the road that is stopping me. (I mention this a lot) the camera I was planning to use, is actually my sister's, so it limits me to the time I can film and stuff. 

Bump #2: The other bump in the road is TIME. I mean, I have been able to make time to film, but then it just goes down the drain because of Bump #1.

Bump #3: the other bump is that I am the "go-to girl" in my house. Anytime someone needs something done, they come to me, because I get it done on the spot. (Which is not a bad thing. I like that they can rely on me).

The Grand Finale

Hello everyone!

So, at this very moment, I am working on the epilogue to my story Scarred Hearts. I am really happy that I am finishing it, but I am also sad. This was such a great story to write, and I loved reading the comments my readers were giving. Scarred Hearts is entered in the #Wattys2015, so I am looking forward to that. This will be the second time that I have entered. The last time was in 2013, and my story was a finalist! \o/ That is, to me, quite an accomplishment. Considering all the other stories that were entered. 

I am not going to make this a long post, I just wanted to give you guys an update. I hope you all have a goodnight/day/afternoon, wherever you are in the world. God bless, and I will see you all next time!
