#CampNaNoWriMo April 2016 | Day 18

I feel a bit like crap today, but not letting that put a cramp in my style, you know? Just finished skimming two cute movies. Because they are helping me get a grasp on some character development I have planned for a later chapter in my #CampNaNoWriMo project. They are also the inspiration of another novel I have been trying to write and I figured it would be good to hit two birds with one stone.

So, Freddie Highmore is someone I visualize as my character Jace, in this novel. Dylan O'Brien is someone else I'm visualizing in a different novel. But nothing set in stone yet. They just fit the characters I have in mind and the novels both jump off each other, in some manner or another.

My writing has not slowed down, but I did not do much of it in the morning. I have to get myself in the habit of being off my laptop by 8:30-9pm. I need the extra sleep, and sometimes my family get together at night. So, I should have that in habit.

I have been having massive creativity break-threw this passed week. My sister has not been using my laptop as much lately, because she is doing a lot of the homeschool teaching right now. But our deal remains the same until she get's her own laptop again.

I have gotten my reading habit back. Not in a bad way, in a very good way. In fact, its so good that even my mom has been glad to see me reading and not just lounging around. Almost 23 yrs old and I like napping during the afternoon. Yeah, that's me. People! I have finally gotten into listening to audio books. Granted, I have won these in giveaways, which was partly the reason I got into it. But I had nothing to use to listen to them until the tablet came along.

I am trying to work up the courage to film a video for BookTube. The thing is that Sundays are the best day for me to do that, but I often am writing or fixing blog posts for Haddie's Haven. Also, I am extremely camera shy . . . I just am, even when I am by myself.

I have been bugging my sister to let me practice formatting one of her books for paperback. I need the practice, and she said she would like to have some of her work on her shelf, as I do too.

Someone asked me today if I had been looking into any publishers, and I have been looking at many. I mentioned the other day that I have my favorites and I think I am going to try and start submitting some of my work to them. Different books to different publishers. I don't want to be submitting the same novel to each and then have them both want to work with it. No! That's not how things are done. It just isn't and everyone knows that.

Some of the publishers I am considering are Entangled Teen, Swoon Romance, Limitless Publishing, and perhaps SourceBooks Fire, and Clean Teen Publishing. These are all publishers I am interested in, whom I have read for in past blog tours. I really like what some of these publishers have to offer, and also I would love to have a book published by one of them, and my book would be listed with some of my favorite authors on the sites. That would be very cool.

I have been formatting The Blank Space so that I could get it printed for myself. Yes, I have. Here is a screenshot of the progress. There is a whole lot more, but you would not be able to see it if I had it zoomed out that far.
Yeah, its nothing fancy. But it will work for me.

I have already been thinking about what I would like to do for Camp NaNoWriMo in July. Yes, I am thinking ahead, and I have a few ideas. But instead of writing something completely new, I want to pull out some of my older ideas, the ones I never started, and see if I can make them take off the way The Blank Space has. I do think I might try to write them before the next Camp starts. If that is the case, I will do something new.

My older ideas are all saved on my Wattpad account(s). As for what the new idea would be, I think it would be something that branches off the current project. Like, maybe the best friend of the female character will be the lead in this book and it will follow her budding romance with Damien. *Wiggles eyebrows* Damien is a character I wrote into The Blank Space, and he likes Bella. But, of course, Bella is waiting for Jace . . . Read it to find out!
